About Me

Amina has always believed in the importance of storytelling to uplift humanity. This is why she works passionately to bring authenticity to characters on the stage and screen. Amina has spent years honing her skills in theatre camps, acting classes, dance lessons, and school productions. She recently completed her BFA in Acting at NYU Tisch School of Drama, where she studied at Stella Adler Studio, the Experimental Theatre Wing, and Stonestreet Studios. When she is not rehearsing, Amina can likely be found admiring trees in a park, making art and dancing with friends, or practicing roller skating (concentrated and cautiously, with knee pads).

As a Queer, Black and Latina woman, Amina is passionate about representation, and characters whose experiences challenge the mainstream. At NYU, she minored in psychology, and specializes in stories that examine the complexities of relationships and the human psyche. In addition to embodying stories written by other artists, she has created and produced work of her own. She recently co-produced and acted in The Smallest of Things at The Tank NYC, in partnership with Dyke Theatre Co. In January 2025, she performed a solo movement installation representing her personal connection with studying abroad in Cuba. Amina is a collaborator at heart, and thrives in creative communities.
